Bushnell Legend L-Series 10x42 binoculars
The Legend L-Series 10x42 builds on the E-Series with ED Prime glass and a locking dioptre adjustment. It is aimed at regular birdwatchers and wildlife observers seeking a balance of optical detail, robust construction and handling comfort.
The 10x42 format brings distant subjects closer while remaining practical for hiking, hunting, travel and everyday nature observation. Compared with 8x, it requires a steadier hold.

What ED Prime adds
Extra-low dispersion glass helps reduce coloured fringes around high-contrast subjects, such as a bird against bright sky or backlit branches. This is the main optical distinction from the Legend E-Series.
BaK-4 roof prisms, fully multi-coated optics and Ultra Wide Band coatings support natural colour and contrast. PC-3 phase correction helps preserve fine detail through the prism system.
Comfort for regular observation
The L-Series has 18 mm eye relief and twist-up eyecups. These help with eye positioning, including for glasses wearers. The locking dioptre lets you secure the adjustment for differences between your eyes.
Centre focusing allows quick changes between subjects. At a listed 666 g, the format balances full-size handling and portability; a comfortable strap helps on long outings.
Protection outdoors
Magnesium construction and rubber armour provide a robust grip. Waterproof construction and nitrogen filling help resist moisture and internal fogging. RainGuard HD reduces the effect of external water droplets, supporting a usable view in damp weather.
