Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 10x42: ED optics for nature observation
The Legend Ultra HD 10x42 combines extra-low dispersion ED glass, BaK-4 roof prisms and a magnesium housing. Its 10x magnification is suited to examining distant birds, wildlife and landscape details while the 42 mm objectives keep the format versatile.
Image quality and limitations
ED glass reduces colour fringing around high-contrast subjects. Central sharpness is a strength, while sharpness decreases towards the outer part of the image. The 4.2 mm exit pupil is suited to daytime observation and moderate low light; larger objectives are preferable when very low-light performance is the priority.
Handling and outdoor use
Central focusing, adjustable eyecups and a diopter ring below the right eyecup allow individual adjustment. The stated eye relief is 15.2 mm: users wearing thick glasses should check that they can see the full field comfortably. Nitrogen filling, waterproof construction and RainGuard HD support use in variable weather. A tripod adapter is required for mounting and is not included.

Cordura case, padded neck strap, objective and eyepiece covers, and microfibre cleaning cloth.
