  • Pulsar Merger LRF XP50 thermal imaging binoculars

    Classic design Compact size

Merger LRF thermal imaging binoculars are based on the design of classic day binoculars. With their reduced form factor, these thermal imaging binoculars are perfectly adapted to the size of the hand, while boasting attractive aesthetics and ideal ergonomics. The six control buttons are positioned in an easy-to-reach area, and the most frequently used digital functions are activated with a simple press.

    A comfortable experience

The design of Merger LRF binoculars takes into account the characteristics of human eyesight. Everyone naturally receives visual information simultaneously through two visual channels. Two-eye viewing is less tiring than single-eye viewing. This means better detection of small or blurred objects, and better performance in low-contrast scenes than with similar thermal scopes of equivalent technical characteristics. Pupil distance is adjustable on Merger LRFs from 56 to 71 mm, depending on the user's characteristics.

    Integrated laser rangefinder

The notion of distance to the target is an essential factor in making the right decision. A built-in laser rangefinder with a range of up to 1 kilometer lets you measure distances in both single-measurement and continuous-scan modes, with an accuracy of ± 1 meter for fast, error-free situational awareness.

HIGH DEFINITION THERMAL IMAGING WITH A 640x480 PIXEL SENSOR @ < 25 mK NETD

A high-sensitivity sensor with NETD < 25 mK captures the tiniest temperature differences when observing in conditions of low thermal contrast, as well as in rain or fog. The 640x480 pixel resolution ensures reliable target identification, high-quality visualization of the animal's anatomical features, as well as small details of the surrounding scenery.

    HIGH-POWER F50/1.0 LENS

The characteristics of thermal imaging optics have a decisive influence on a thermal imager's ability to capture even barely measurable levels of radiation. Combined with ultra-sensitive sensors, the high-power lenses of Merger LRF thermal imagers (F50/1.0) offer maximum detection efficiency. In rain or fog, when the thermal contrast of the observed scene is minimal, the Merger LRF user always has access to a detailed, high-contrast, informative image of the highest quality.

    THE LATEST IMAGE PROCESSING ALGORITHMS

Merger LRF thermal binoculars are backed up by state-of-the-art image processing algorithms that reveal their full effectiveness in different weather conditions and camera operating situations. With Merger LRF optics, the user benefits from an unprecedented level of image sharpness and noise reduction, with enhanced object detail and increased contrast.

TWO INDEPENDENT BATTERIES. UP TO 10 HOURS OF CONTINUOUS OPERATION.

The Merger LRF is powered by two rechargeable batteries: one integrated with a capacity of 4 Ah, the other removable with a capacity of 3.2 Ah. A single charge guarantees up to 10 hours of autonomy, enough to cover the active use of the scope during a hunting trip. The relief on the body of the removable battery allows you to find exactly which way the battery is inserted, so you can replace it quickly and safely, even in total darkness.

    LONG-DISTANCE DETECTION

A powerful F50/1.0 lens combined with a professional-quality thermal imaging sensor with 640x480@17µm offers exceptional detection capabilities. A standard object 1.8 m high can be detected at a distance of 1800 m in total darkness.

    MORE FEATURES

Variable zoom from 2x to 20x

Digital zoom, up to 8x, provides enhanced focus and better overall object recognition at significant distances. Zoom changes either gradually in 2× steps, or continuously for a truly optimal field of view, customized for a specific situation.

Reinforced structure in high-quality magnesium alloy

The Merger LRF is designed for constant, often demanding use. Its magnesium alloy coating is both light and strong. It protects the thermal imaging unit's internal components from shocks, splashes, moisture, heat and cold. What's more, a metal structure draws heat away from the electronic components, minimizing image noise and increasing the device's operating consistency during long-term observation.

    Integrated photo and video recorder

The Merger LRF features a built-in video recorder. The Merger LRF's internal memory can record hours of video and tens of thousands of photos. At the touch of a button, you can take a photo of an interesting scene or start a video recording. The footage is copied to a computer hard drive via a USB-C port. Every Merger LRF owner has 16 GB of free disk space for saving photos and videos captured with the device in the Pulsar cloud space. Simply install the Stream Vision 2 mobile app, register and connect the device to a smartphone via WiFi.

Remote operation from a smartphone and software updates with the Stream Vision 2 app

Integrated WiFi connects the Axion 2 XQ to Android and iOS smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 mobile app. This opens up a wide range of applications, including wireless updates of the device's software, real-time image streaming from the device to the smartphone screen, publication on social networks of photo and video content captured by the device or transfer to messaging services, remote control of the device's digital functions and access to the latest Pulsar publications. What's more, users who register receive 16 GB of cloud storage space for their photos and videos recorded with the device.

Enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity with 2.4/5 GHz frequency band support

In the Merger LRF thermal imager, the standard frequency band for smartphone connection via a 2.4 GHz WiFi channel is complemented by an effective 5 GHz band. The 5 GHz connection offers better bandwidth, a faster data transfer rate, noise protection and better connection stability, resulting in greater productivity and ease of operation of the thermal imager with a smartphone.

    High-contrast HD AMOLED displays

The high-contrast AMOLED display offers improved color rendering, low power consumption and fast response time, to deliver a crisp, clear viewing image even in icy conditions.

    IPX7 Perfect waterproofing

Perfect IPX7 waterproofing for protection against heavy rain, snow or other precipitation. The device is designed for trouble-free operation even after submersion in water up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes.

    Extended operating temperature range (-25...+50°C)

The Merger LRF's packaging, power supply unit, optics and electronics are designed for use over a wide temperature range. The Merger LRF maintains its reliability and efficiency in freezing temperatures down to -25°C.

A selection of 8 color palettes

The 8-color palette enhances visualization in variable conditions. While the classic Warm White mode is exceptionally versatile, Warm Black is often favored for detecting animals at night. Red Monochrome can be used to reduce or prevent the bright backlight from leaving the eyepiece. Sepia generally enhances long-distance observation, while Warm Red, Rainbow and Ultramarine improve the display of temperature differences of various object details. Violet helps to identify objects more quickly.
